Is it just me or does it take everyone a whole week to recover from Pride weekend? Assuming we’re all on the same boat, I’ve put together some tunes designed to help you get your gay mojo back. My secret remedy? Underground deep-house diva Lisa Shaw.

Though she was born in Ontario, Canada, Lisa Shaw’s music career was groomed in New York’s underground club circuit. In 1995, she released her first single, the jazz-meets-club track “Makin Love, Makin Music. The song was an instant underground hit, attracting the attention of prominent music-makers like Naked Music DJ/producer Miguel Migs. The two collaborated on several works — my favorite being the work they did together on 2011’s Outside the Skyline. In 2005 and 2009 she released two studio albums of her own, Cherry and Free. Both are fab from start to finish, rife with stress-releasing beats and sultry vocals. Listen closely to hear influences from other soulful singers you may be more familiar with, like Sade, Dido and even disco queen Evelyn “Champagne” King.

Below, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites from her excellent catalog of sounds. Trust me, after a listen to the Canadian chanteuse’s sexy vocals and enchanting beats you’ll be ready to conquer this post-Pride weekend in no time.

1. “Makin’ Love, Makin’ Music”

2. “Like I Want To”

3. “All Night High (Miguel Migs Salted Vocal)”

4. “Those Things” Feat. Miguel Migs

5. “Honey (Mr. Moon’s ’80s Vocal Mix)” Click here for Soundcloud link
