Gunnar Montana is a 24-year-old dancer/choreographer living in South Philly. His fair skin and red hair can make the beach a dicey prospect, but that doesn’t keep him from enjoying the waves. Or making them. He’s slated to be one of the “Boys of Summer” at Philly Gay Calendar’s annual splash at Voyeur.
How did you become one of the “Boys of Summer”?
I’ve been asked for a couple years now, and I’ve never actually been able to make it. But I am going to try to do it this year.
What do you look for in a guy?
There’s something about a scruffy, dark and handsome man with tattoo sleeves that makes me a little weak in the knees. I’m into guys that are a good match to wrestle with but aren’t afraid to buy you flowers.
What’s your idea of the perfect summer?
One full of outdoor rock climbing, dance rehearsals, late-night strolls in tank tops, hand-holding, skydiving, dog walking, smiling at boys in coffee shops, lengthy phone calls to the family back home, snorkeling the Keys, nights dancing with friends … and a few flings.
Ever had sex on the beach?
Can’t say that I have. But I have my fingers crossed for this summer.
