Sexy Men’s European Clothing Shop Opens in Rittenhouse

Suitsupply opened its first Philadelphia location in a historic former hotel on 16th and Locust.

Philly gents now have the opportunity to up the GQ effect with the opening of a new sartorial hotspot in Rittenhouse.

European men’s fashion label Suitsupply officially opened its Philadelphia location on April 25, taking over a 4,300-square-foot corner spot on 16th and Locust that was once a historic hotel. You’d never know that from the inside, though. The slick two-story boutique has been revamped with shiny modern accents — like bright-red display tables, eye-popping graphic displays and illuminated built-in shelves that look like something out of an episode of The Jetsons.

Then, of course, there’s the clothes. Right now, the store is filled with pieces from the label’s Spring/Summer collection — suits, pants, shirts and accessories inspired by indigo-colored wool, linen and silk fabrics that are “woven with mélange fibers in burnt orange, faded red, and ochre-accented colors.” Not surprising for a European company, the merch is known for its impeccable tailoring and that fits-just-right look we all need in a good suit.

This is Suitsupply’s first brick-and-mortar in Philadelphia, but it’s one of 44 locations open all over the world — from its homebase in Amsterdam to London, New York and Chicago. Check out photos of the shop below.
