Tonight: Singing Mormons in the Gayborhood!

Plus: SUPERBass turns one and Team Philadelphia hosts a sporty mixer at Sugarhouse.

The Missionary Orchestra of Great Brooklyn is popping into town this week to perform its just-for-us musical, Mission in Manhattan: Big Philly Style. The one-act “pride play” follows three polygamist sister wives who’ve been abandoned by their brother husband in Philadelphia. With their ukes in tow, the three Mormon songbirds finally track him down at Tavern on Camac, where he’s lounging in the piano bar with his vocal coach Gerard. For shame! Can they coax him away from his new gay life to return home to care for their seven children? Probably not. Tonight and Fri., March 15, 8 p.m., Sun., March 17, 3 p.m., $20, The Playground on the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom St.
