Drag Race Star Alaska Coming to Tabu

Tammy Faymous debuts a new alternative-drag party with one of RuPaul's wackiest goils.

We don’t know if she’ll come into town galloping with a horse mask on or riding one of her girlfriend Sharon Needles’ brooms, but Alaska Thunderfuck is coming to Tabu come hell or high water. Probably hell.

Her appearance will mark the debut of #faymeproblems, a new party at Tabu hosted by G Philly’s long-and-lean, hairy-drag-queen extraordinaire, Tammy Faymous. She describes the party as, “a unique and refreshing alternative drag show and dance party … on the fourth Friday of every month. The space will be transformed with a small stage setup and … a live video feed of the performance will be channeled to TVs throughout the lounge.”

Alaska is the first of a crop of fresh-faced out-of-towners Miss Faymous hopes to bring to the party each month. I have to hand it to her, this is a pretty exciting get. Other, more-local drag performances that evening include The Goddess Isis, Maddy Milan, Aeryana von Moi, Roxxy Glamour and Luna Lavey.

Fri., March 29, 11 p.m.-2 a.m., $15 (advance), $20 (door), $30 (one-hour meet-and-greet before show), Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar, 200 S. 12th St., brownpapertickets.com.
