What To Do This Weekend: Snowball by Brian Sanders’ JUNK

This weekend, Brat Productions will perform a special “pop-up pub performance,” The Diary of Lisa Q. The show is a “create-your-own-adventure parlor show,” in which audience members interact with artists in a variety of settings. The queer-friendly third edition of Dead Flower’s Kaleidoscope is a variety show featuring live music by Voltheque and Samarkand, and a bunch of “sideshow” performances, including one clown whose behavior “challenges expectations of gender dynamics.” 8 p.m., $10, Love City Roller Derby, 820 Spring Garden St.

Philly therapist and author Joanne Fleisher will stop by Giovanni’s Room to read from her latest book, Living Two Lives: Married to a Man & In Love with a Woman. In the book, she talks about her experience as a suburban mom who meets and gets all giddy over one of her female friends, and she addresses such issues as the “initial feelings of same-sex attraction, coming out to husbands and children … and making life-altering decisions.” 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., free, Giovanni’s Room, 345 S. 12th St.

Brian Sanders’ JUNK will present its second-annual Snowball, a one-night fundraiser featuring new works by JUNK and a reception featuring nibbles from season 10 winner of Hell’s Kitchen, Christina Wilson.
