John Moeller Leaving DVLF

The executive director has accepted a position at Planned Parenthood

On the heels of the HEROES event on Sunday, the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF) board of directors announced the resignation of John Moeller this week as executive director. Moeller, who has been with the organization since January 2011, has accepted the position of vice president of external affairs at Planned Parenthood Northeast and Mid-Penn.

“While the board is sad to lose John, we would not be in the position we are today without his leadership and wish him all the best in this new endeavor,” said Mark Mitchell, DVLF board president. “John’s departure will in no way hamper current DVLF efforts. Our board is fully engaged as well and ready to step-in whenever needed.”

The board has named Mark Dann as interim executive director. Mitchell says he will be working part-time until the position can be filled. Dann has several years of fundraising experience, and has been involved with several political campaigns. As the interim director, he’s focused on building DVLF’s current development initiatives, while Sandra Thompson, DVLF’s director of operations, will continue to work on the organization’s ongoing programmatic efforts.

DVLF will be considering replacements for Moeller in the coming months.
