MANNA hosts a “Meals That Matter” tailgate party (5 p.m.) on 23rd and Ranstead with members of the Philadelphia Eagles, Eagles Cheerleaders and Swoop. A full menu will be offered, along with a Chopped-style cook-off with the pros. All proceeds benefit MANNA.

Philadelphia Black Gay Pride‘s family reunion (6 p.m) is at the Crowne Plaza on City Avenue with Power 99 personality Muthaknows. Special guests also include Akil Patterson, an openly gay wrestler, comedian Sam “Sampson” McCormick and the new Mr. and Miss Philadelphia Black Gay Pride with an award for the most LGBT-friendly politician of the year. The Evolution Ball follows (7:30 p.m.).
The F. Harold Comedy Festival kicks off at the Walnut Street Theatre (6 p.m.) with some of the top LGBT comics in the community, including Alejandro Morales, James Bradford, Alex Pearlman and improv duo Jessica Tandy. The events continue though the next six days.
Miss Richfield 1981 brings her one-woman show “We’ll All Be Dead by Christmas” to the Society Hill Playhouse (8 p.m.) through the weekend. Click here for our exclusive with the drag superstar.
It’s the Kingz 2012 Pride Weekend Celebration’s Masquerade Ball (9 p.m.) at Vox Populi.
Sisters presents a movie-themed burlesque showcase (9 p.m.) featuring Candy Mayhem of the Hellcat Girls, Oscar Wildchilde of QREAM, Lulu Lollipop of Peek-a-Boo Revue, Detroit’s own Hayley Jane and Timaree of the Sisters Sirens. The event is hosted by the Notorious OMG.
Sandy Beach kicks off a new monthly cabaret event Smashed (11 p.m.) every last Friday featuring drink specials and surprise guests.
It’s Midnight Movie Madness (11:59 p.m.) at Crowne Plaza on City Avenue during Philadelphia Black Gay Pride with “Leave it at the Door” and “M.I.A.: Different Kind of Girl” (2 a.m.).
Saturday, April 28
Come out for educational workshops during Philadelphia Black Gay Pride (10 a.m.) at Crowne Plaza on City Avenue. Sessions include “In My Day,” a multi-generational conversation, a trans panel, Zumba, lesbian debate and spirituality workshop.
Taste the Flavors of the Avenue (12 p.m.) on East Passyunk.
Sugar Town and Permanent Wave Philly present an all-ages afternoon of music (3 p.m.) with Death Rattle, Break it Up and the Mistits, a Misfits tribute band. Erica Rubin will spin music between live sets at King Fu Necktie.
Philadelphia Black Gay Pride does speed dating (5 p.m.) at the Crowne Plaza on City Avenue, followed by a Caribbean Heat (7 p.m.) dance party.

Kingz on the Mic (9 p.m.) takes over Milkboy with a hip-hop show hosted by Kevin Kaoz Moore with performances by out artists DDM, IKP and Sgt. Sass.
Ring in spring with a Spring Break Beach Party at ICandy (9 p.m.) with a free frozen drink if you wear beach duds on the new Tiki deck.
Philadelphia Black Gay Pride presents Love & Lust (10 p.m.), an indoor and outdoor dance party at Mikey’s American.

Sunday, April 29
Start Sunday with the Second Annual Lesbians of Color Family BBQ (9 a.m.) in Fairmount Park.
Ladies 2000 hosts its spring party at Top Dog in Cherry Hill, N.J., with dinner, dancing and disco by Steve Singer.
The first-ever BIG Award Show (8 p.m.) celebrating nightlife is at Voyeur with performances by Brittany Lynn, Mrs. P, Aida Snatchwell, Satine Harlow, Omyra Lynn and many others. The event – for which G Philly is nominated for best website/publication – is hosted by Mimi Imfurst.
Kingz 2012 parties at Fluid (9 p.m.) with a special dance party.
Safeguards Project hosts the Penn Relay Party (9 p.m.) at 3G Lounge for Philadelphia Black Gay Pride.
