The last thing you want to do the days leading up to Thanksgiving is cook. But you’ve still gotta eat, and maybe you have friends and family in town to entertain before the big event on Thursday. What to do?

Well, Hardena and Noord are bringing back their rijsttafel dinner, a family-style feast featuring Indonesian delicacies — and it’s on Tuesday, November 21st.

The rijsttafel — a product of the Dutch colonial occupation of Indonesia — offers guests a chance to taste a wide variety of dishes, accompanied by the titular rice. Today, in South Philly, it’s an opportunity for these restaurateurs to celebrate a shared tradition and showcase a huge variety of Indonesian dishes and flavors for their guests.

And Joncarl Lachman and Ena and Harry Widjojo haven’t thrown a rijsttafel since 2014, so that makes the occasion even more special.

The dinner will take place at Noord and costs $65 per person — cash only, so hit the ATM before you go. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start.
