As reported back in March, iconic 24-hour diner Little Pete’s will close on Memorial Day after 39 years in business. But they’ll be throwing a bittersweet celebration in the form of a midday indoor-outdoor block party on Tuesday, May 30.

Over the weekend, Philly Chit Chat posted a photo of a flyer announcing details of the party at the soon-to-close 17th and Chancellor location on Instagram.

The free block party will include lots of Greek food (of course) and live music and will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

While owners Pete and John Koutroubas are exploring possible new locations in Northern Liberties or Fishtown, nothing has solidified yet. The Fairmount outpost of Little Pete’s at 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue — which, sadly, is not open 24 hours — will remain open.
