As much as we love a good rosé, pink wine is no longer the hip sip it was a few years ago. Orange wine is now cutting edge — and The Good King Tavern is spotlighting this trendy beverage at “Orange Is the New Black,” tonight’s Cave à Manger event.

Proprietor Chloe Grigri has modeled tonight’s wine and food pairing session on Parisian wine shops that offer nibbles that pair well with the wine a customer has purchased. At tonight’s event, diners will receive a checklist of cheese and charcuterie and a list of featured orange wines to try.

Good King’s communal high-top table will become a massive “live” cheese and charcuterie case as staff build boards to order for guests as they make their way through the checklist. The full menu will also be available to pair with the featured wines. The wine, cheese, and charcuterie pairing is available throughout the evening, and the menu is pay-as-you-go.

Good King’s next Cave à Manger, featuring beers from Boulder, Colorado-based Avery Brewing Company, pops up on June 7th.
