Breaking news, people: We just got word that HipCityVeg’s new Midtown Village location, slated to open at 121 South Broad Street in December (so soon! Eeeee!), will have — wait for it — breakfast on the menu. We’re talking vegan breakfast sandwiches, wraps, bagels, coffee and more. Insert all the praise-hands emojis here.

At the new HipCityVeg outpost, the third Philly-area location (and fourth total) for the plant-based fast-casual spot, folks can expect a similar layout to the 18th Street location, but with an updated look — see the rendering above — and extra seating in the lobby of the North American Building. Insert more praise-hands emojis here. And before you get too excited about stopping into the University City or Rittenhouse locations for breakfast, know that, to start, the breakfast menu will be only available at the Broad Street location.

They’ve yet to announce the exact items on the breakfast menu, but considering HipCityVeg is kind of the king of faux meat (hello, Philly Steak and Disco Chick’n), we’re guessing there will be some veggie sausage and the like in the mix. Stay tuned for the Midtown Village location’s exact opening date. Until then, we’ll just be over here salivating.
