Oyster Po’boy Tacos At Revolution Taco

They're on the menu temporarily to benefit flood victims in Louisiana.

Want to do something good with your appetite this week? Then Revolution Taco has the perfect taco for you.

Starting yesterday, the crew at Revolution Taco started slinging oyster po’boy tacos to benefit victims of the flooding in Louisiana. The tacos, designed by chef and Louisiana native Caroline Nguyen, have fried oysters, Cajun aioli, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pickles and Tabasco, and they’re selling at 2 for $10 or 3 for $13.50. The proceeds of all sales will go to the Disaster Relief Fund established by the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana.

Chef Nguyen had this to say about the benefit:

“I grew up in Louisiana for almost all of my childhood. Deep down it will always be home for me. When Hurricane Katrina hit, I felt helpless. With more resources on our hands now, I want to lend a hand, reach a bigger audience and make more of an impact.”

The tacos will be on sale at Revolution through Sunday, September 11. So if you’re looking for a way to give a little back (and get tacos for your trouble), now you know where to go.
