Still looking for an excuse to set off  your leftover fireworks? No worries, Bastille Day is this week on Thursday, July 14th.  There’s plenty happening around the city to celebrate this week.  But if you’re still looking for something besides catching as many Tastykakes as possible at the Eastern State Penitentiary, we’ve rounded up some other French-inspired Bastille Day events happening at restaurants around the city.

Bastille Day Block Party  at The Good King Tavern

Drinks will be flowing at their first annual Bastille Day Block Party from 3 to 10 p.m. on Thursday. With Kronenbourg as the beer of the event, Artisan Cellar keg wines being tapped and plenty of French cocktails like Kir and Patis, no one will feel the need to revolt here. Good King will be serving French street food including homemade sausages and choucroute sandwiches. All food and drinks will be ticketed and tickets can be purchased the day of.

Four Course Dinner at Bistrot La Minette

The classic French bistro is going all out this year with a two day event. On Wednesday, July 13th and Thursday, July 14th, they will offer a four-course dinner for $40. You can make a reservation anytime between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. either day. Check out the menu here.

Prix Fixe Menu at Neuf

Enjoy a $35 prix fixe dinner to celebrate like the French. Joncarl Lachman’s 9th Street restaurant will be serving $5 champagne, $8 cocktails, $2 duck confit sliders and offering discounted bottles of French wines and champagne.

And after the Tastykakes are all thrown and Marie Antoinette has been beheaded, if you want to stay  in Fairmount afterwards a few places are also joining in on the festivities. Urban Saloon will be having a pig roast, live entertainment and $4 drafts. The Belgian Cafe is offering a special Bastille Day menu from Thursday to Saturday. And Mugshots Coffee House will have macarons and music all day long.
