Old City Eats Starts This Thursday

Old City REALLY wants you to visit. They want this so much, that they’ve now got their own version of Center City Sips that they’re calling Old City Eats. Clever, right?
So here’s the deal. While the Center City District is all about getting bargain priced drinks into your hands every Wednesday evening, the Old City District are counter-programming with their own deal, with 32 restaurants offering half-price small plates, off-menu specials, chef collaborations plus $5 drinks every Thursday from 5pm-8pm through August 25.
The list of restaurants is impressive (and listed in its entirety below). But for some highlights, we’re talking arctic char crudo and pork and crab arancini with crab fat aioli from Fork; a big list from Gaslight (including daily taco specials, pickled veggies, soft pretzel bites, crispy chicken nuggets, cornbread, cheese fries and a single-patty version of the Gaslight burger) along with 3 $5 cocktails; dan dan noodles and a gin smash at Han Dynasty; oysters Belmont from Olde Bar and fried cheese curds at La Peg with a vodka, ginger, lime and curacao cocktail called “The Espirit” to wash them down.
