Rosa Blanca Cafe Being Replaced at Dilworth Park

Garces' Cuban concept makes way for an American cafe from another catering company.

On Wednesday, June 1st, Dilworth Park will have a new cafe. Brûlée Catering is taking over the cafe which has been run by Garces Events as Rosa Blanca Cafe. On Thursday, May 26th, the cafe will close for renovations. Brûlée will provide a concession in front of the building to accommodate park visitors through the changeover.

The new cafe will offer a menu of American cuisine, sandwiches, salads and healthy snacks. The cafe will also offer coffee, craft beer, wine and cocktails.

Brûlée offers catering at more than 17 locations around the Philadelphia area including at the National Constitution Center and Free Library of Philadelphia on the Parkway. The catering company has amassed an impressive number of well known chefs including Jean-Marie Lacroix (for whom Lacroix is named) and Matt Levin, a Lacroix alum himself.

Brûlée has been a catering provider to Dilworth Park since it opened in 2014. Garces Events will fulfill their remaining catering events scheduled through the fall of this year.

With the closing of Rosa Blanca Cafe, Jose Garces’ Cuban themer is gone. The original Rosa Blanca replaced Chifa at 707 Walnut Street but closed after 18 months. The cafe lasted just a bit longer.
