Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream Jog ‘n Hog is making its return this summer to Yardley’s Shady Brook Farm with a 5K that is guaranteed to challenge your endurance and satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time.

The three(ish)-mile run takes place on none other than National Ice Cream Day, Sunday, July 17th. Halfway through the race, runners will come to an ice cream pit-stop where they will gobble down a Whole Hogger (a quart) or a Half Hogger (a pint) of Uncle Dave’s vanilla ice cream. Participants will then run back to the start, fighting off brain freeze and the urge to take a nap.

New to this year’s race is the tag team division. Teams of two will designate a runner and an eater. The eater will wait at the halfway point to tackle the ice cream portion of the race, so if you’re better suited for consuming desert than running, you can take on the task of scarfing down the frozen treat. Your sacrifice is nothing short of heroic.

Registration opens March 1st. Earlybird pricing is $30 for half hoggers, $32 for whole hoggers, $55 for a half hog tag team, and $59 for a whole hog tag team. Check out registration details here.
