Robert De Niro is returning to Delco tomorrow. And you have a chance to meet him — and buy his brand of vodka.

De Niro — who was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Patrizio “Pat” Solitano, Sr. in the Delaware County-shot Silver Linings Playbook — will appear tomorrow at the opening of a new state-run liquor store about 30 miles from Philly.

The new Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection store is at the Brandywine Mills shopping center at U.S. 202 and Applied Card Way in Glen Mills.

De Niro will cut the ribbon with Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board officials to open the store at 4. He’ll also be shilling the Vodka brand VDKA 6100 that he launched two years ago with Artisan Spirits Merchants. The Australian company had already created the Vodka and approached De Niro for help with packaging and marketing ideas. (“Appear at store openings in Glen Mills” is one of the things they came up with, it seems.)

At 3:15, the first 300 people in line will receive sealed envelopes. A lucky 15 will get “golden tickets” for a private, in-store meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with De Niro, a Wine & Spirits gift card and the opportunity to purchase a bottle of VDKA 6100 with De Niro’s signature on it. Another 15 envelopes will have gift cards and an opportunity to buy that signed VDKA 6100 bottle.

Early word from critics call De Niro’s newest role in State Store Opening to be “nowhere near as embarrassing as Dirty Grandpa.” If you decide to wait in line for this, best of luck!
