Ladies’ Night: Bites & Flights Tonight at Time

Time hosts a special event to honor the local ladies in the food and beverage industry

LOGO bites&flightsHaving the title “Executive Chef” seems to be a generally male-dominated position in the culinary world — so Time restaurant has created a monthly series to celebrate the women of the local food and beverage industry.

Hosted by executive chef Mackenzie Hilton, Time, located at 1315 Sansom Street, debuts “Ladies’ Night: Bites & Flights,” featuring casual pairings of small plates and beverages and socializing with local ladies of the industry.

Chef Hilton will be collaborating with local female chefs, reps, brewers, barkeepers, distillers, farmers, entrepreneurs and more to help focus the series on the hardworking ladies in the industry. The restaurant is hoping for this event to become an opportunity to build a sense of community among Philly’s strong workforce of female movers and shakers.

Tonight, the event will feature collaborations with Megan Maguire of Ommegang BreweryChristina Burris of St Benjamin Brewing, and Melissa Torre, previously of Cookie Confidential.

The tasting will be a casual meet and greet so the women of the industry can mix and mingle with people of the general public. There will be a flight of the featured beverage and petite snacks paired to each item. Guests have a choice of an individual pairing or four options in a beer flight for $18 and a food flight for $22.

The offerings will begin at 6pm, with the meet and greet portion from 7pm-9pm.

And since Wednesdays are pretty much universally known as #WomenCrushWednesdays, the series will take place the third Wednesday of each month.

Here’s the pairing menu for tonight’s event.
