Last Chance To Get Your Tickets For PHeaSt

The PA Horticultural Society's big event is tonight.

You know that the PA Horticultural Society has been putting on some pretty jamming events lately, what with their fantabulous beer gardens being run by Erin Wallace at Devil’s Den all summer. Well, tonight they’re going back to their older-school fundraising roots with PHeaSt, a farm-to-table food gala they’ve hosted for PHour yearS.

Held at the group’s warehouse at the Navy Yard from 7-10 p.m., the sell-out event raises money for its City Harvest program, which donates locally grown food to families in need. Several dozen top chef, restaurant and beverage partners – think Vedge, Vetri Foundation, Fitler Dining Room and Garces Trading Co., Firestone Walker brewery and Whistle Pig distillery – will be plating and pouring snacks and libations all night in a fantasy-like setting created with local florists and gardeners with props from the PHS flower shows.

A people’s choice award names the most popular dish, with guests eligible to win restaurant gift certificates. Wine lovers can also pay $20 for a chance to win bottles of wine priced between $20-$300. Winning a pricey bottle may ease the pain of shelling out for a ticket, which will set you back $165 for general admission or $300 for VIP (which buys you an extra hour of eating and drinking at the beginning of the event). Tickets are discounted for PHS members.
