A Happy Hour to Help the Homeless

Bru Craft & Wurst hosts a fundraiser to support healthcare for the homeless

A happy hour to support the homeless is approaching and you can help join the cause by drinking cheap beer, eating delicious food and bringing clean socks to contribute.

Indoor German bierhall, Bru Craft & Wurst, located at 13th and Chestnut Streets in Midtown Village, will host the Best Foot Forward Happy Hour and Fundraiser this Friday, October 2nd, starting at 4pm and extending drink deals until 9pm. Best Foot Forward Philly is a free, all-volunteer clinic that supports the podiatry needs of Philadelphia’s immense homeless population.

It has been said that while the average person walks about four miles a day, homeless men and women walk up to ten miles each day in old shoes and bad weather, putting them at greater risk for health concerns. Something as simple as a clean pair of socks can help shape a person’s physical and emotional well-being.

The event will have a $10 cover charge and 100% of the profit goes to directly to Best Foot Forward, which helps contribute to their mission in creating a relaxing space to provide restorative foot care and clinic services to the homeless. Additional support is greatly appreciated as they are funded solely on donations. Contributions of men’s shoes, flip-flops and new crew socks are all welcome.

For those unable to attend, donations can still be made by using the PayPal link on the Best Foot Forward Philly Facebook page or e-mailing bestfootforwardphilly@gmail.com
