Celebrate Crabbie’s Week By Drinking Alcoholic Lemonade

Crabbie’s, makers of the alcoholic ginger beer, are in Philly all this week to celebrate the release of its first ever non-ginger line: Crabbie’s Fruits Cloudy Alcoholic Lemonade. The drink, at 4.8% ABV, promises to be everything an alcoholic lemonade should be: zesty, refreshing and, you know, lemony. So for those of you who faint at the thought of hard liquor, find beer too complex and black out at the mere thought of a Zima, now there’s an option just for you.

But hey, Crabbie’s is also bringing us a week’s worth of events, so maybe we shouldn’t complain too much. Highlights include quizzo, free samples, giveaways, painting and a pool party.

Monday July 27 8 pm: Quizzo at London Grill. Complimentary Crabbie’s sampling.

Tuesday July 28 7-9 pm: Samplings and more at Moriarty’s. First 50 people will receive a gift.

Wednesday July 29 8-10 pm: Same type of thing as Tuesday, but tonight’s event will be held at Boxer’s.

Thursday July 30 7 pm: Paint Nite at Slainte. Paint Nite is hosting an evening of painting and drinking. The $45 ticket gets you a canvas, instruction from a local artist and includes a Crabbie’s drink. Tickets can be found here.

Friday July 31 6-8 pm: Featured Crabbie’s cocktails and samplings at all 10 Chickie’s and Pete’s locations. First 50 people get a free gift.

Saturday August 1 will feature three events. The first is from 1-3 pm at The Foodery (the Northern Liberties and Rittenhouse locations). You know the drill, samplings and free gifts. This time there will be coolers available for purchase. Next event is from 2-4 pm at Weis Markets (Conshohocken, Norristown, Doylestown and Huntington Valley locations). Samplings, gifts and coolers here too. That cooler might come in handy if you go to their next event: the pool party at the North Shore Beach Club. The event runs from 6-9 pm and features special pricing and samples on Crabbie’s drinks. If you drink enough Crabbie’s there, then head over to the after party at King’s Oak which will be happening til 2am.

Sunday August 2, 1-3 pm: The Foodery, this time in the Center City and Roxborough locations, will feature samples and giveaways to the first 50 people.
