Summer Hamachi Dinners At CoZara

A summertime special, the Hamachi dinner is now on the menu at CoZara. The fish, prepared three ways by chef Phila Lorn and served family style, will feed 6-8 people and cost $250 (which seems pricey, sure, but works out to about $40 per person–which isn’t bad for a three-course dinner.)

All three preparations are salt roasted. The first is a yellowtail jalapeño mango, then a yellowtail scallion and finally a spicy crunchy yellowtail. Each guest gets a portion of each variety. Then, shared by the table are three sauces: ponzu, Hiro’s spicy sauce and mango mint, and three sides: grated daikon, soy pickled jalapeños and grilled lemon.

The deal lasts all summer long, but only a limited number of platters are available each day and must be reserved 24 hours in advance.
