There are a lot of ways to revel in Shark Week, but few are quite so bold as planning to eat the creatures (save, perhaps, swimming with them unprotected or something like that).

For those of you looking for a way to celebrate big, but not TOO big, La Calaca Feliz‘s 3rd Annual Shark Dinner may be the move for you.

While technically happening after Shark Week ends, the dinner will be held on July 14th, and will run all night. For $29 a person (minimum of two people), the meal includes three savory courses touching on the greatest hits of La Calaca Feliz‘s kitchen, two to three small plates per course, and ends with what they tell us will be a “heaping” portion of grilled shark. Which type? Probably mako. Which are delicious. And in the spirit of Shark Week, here are a few more facts: they can grow to 14 feet long, will weight upwards of 375 pounds when fully grown, and are known for being kind of mean looking and incredibly fast. Think 60 miles per hour fast. So yes, they can outrun your boat. Without even trying.

Reservations can be made at (215)-787-9930, or by talking to the host.
