The former Cups and Chairs is transforming itself into Living Room CafeThe former tea lounge and cafe at 703 South 5th Street is transforming to a most-of-the-day brunch and lunch spot. Owned by Ting and Steven Zheng, the couple is re-opening in the next two weeks with the new, all-brunch menu.

Living Room Cafe will offer typical brunch fare like eggs Benedict, lox and eggs, bagel platters, etc, but will also have health-conscious options, as well as veggie and vegan dishes.

The menu will also include waffles with popcorn chicken, buttermilk pancakes with 5 spice (these, alike with a few other items, will have an Asian twist to it), and veggie burgers. To drink, they will have BYO Bloody Mary mix, smoothies, various loose teas, coffee, and espresso drinks.

The Zhengs plan on offering breakfast/brunch/lunch well into the late afternoon to give their neighborhood a place to hang out, eat, and drink in a relaxed environment. The website is pretty bare, but hours are Monday to Friday: 7 am to 7 pm, Saturday: 8 am- 7pm, and Sunday: 1pm to 7pm.
