A Coeur and Clarkville Update

Yesterday we gave you the most highly anticipated summer openings but we’re already looking forward to fall. Especially with what Leigh Maida, Brendan Hartranft and Brendan Kelly, owners of Memphis Taproom, Local 44, and Strangeloves have in store.

The team has been busy. They’re adding two new restaurants to their empire–opening both Coeur and Clarkville this fall.

For Coeur, we don’t know much, but we do know they’ve purchased two giant rotisserie ovens for the Montreal-inspired menu. Sorry to be a tease but trust us–we want to know more just as much as you do.

For Clarkville, construction will begin around July 1st and should last about 12 weeks, setting them up for a October opening date. Justin Bennett, executive chef at Local 44, is taking over what will be their second West Philly location.

We’ve heard that he might be testing out some recipes on unsuspecting Local 44 customers so head over there for a sneak peek.
