Happier Hour(s) At Abe Fisher This Summer

Starting today, happy hour at Abe Fisher is getting even happier.

How, you ask? First, by extending an extra hour and running from 5pm ’til 7pm, offering every cocktail and 16 different wines-by-the-glass for $7. And also by extending into the weekend, making happy hour at Abe Fisher at 7-day-a-week event.

Happy hour just wouldn’t be happy hour without snacks, so chef Yehuda Sichel has come up with a menu based around the kitchen’s house-made Jewish rye, topping slices with anything from smoked tongue and pickled green tomatoes to chopped duck liver, cucumbers and Boursin cheese or pulled veal breast with coleslaw. He’ll be offering a rotating selection of three mini, open-faced sandwiches for $5 to accompany the drinks.

Two last things: Happy hour is available at the bar only (which is fine because Abe’s bar is nice and comfortable and generally fairly lightly populated around quittin’ time), but there’s also a 4-course, $39 prix fixe menu that’s available either at the bar or on the floor and whenever the restaurant is open–including happy hour.
