Last summer Fergie’s Pub opened “Fergie’s Beach” next to the Sansom Street pub. The “60-seat beer garden and asphalt paradise” will return on Wednesday, May 20th and will run until construction of the so-called “Fergie’s Tower” begins. That’s expected to be sometime in mid-July. “Last year was so much fun, we decide to do it again this year, while supplies last!” said Fergie’s co-owner Fergus Carey.

Fergie’s Beach will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Fridays, 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays, 2 p.m. to midnight; and Sundays, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The beer garden will offer a rotating list of draft beer, as well as spiked slushies and other thirst-quenchers. The Beach Snacks menu of options like:

  • Wajih’s fried chickpeas
  • Shrimp kebabs
  • Beef or veggie hot dogs
  • Seitan tacos with spicy corn salsa

  • Fried pickles
  • Chicken tenders with fries
  • Hummus
  • Corn on the cob
  • Pub fries

Fergie’s Beach will also offer games like foosball and giant Jenga. The vibe will aim to welcome friends as well as children.

Under twinkling string lights, umbrellas and a new roof will offer some weatherproofing. “The Tumble,” a colorful mural by Robert Goodman will also adorn the Beach.
