Bibou Reopening May 15

Bibou is reopening after a four-week-long renovation on May 15, and you’re going to have to follow a lot of rules to eat there.

The restaurant will be open Wednesday-Saturday only, with just 2 services per night (5:30/6pm and 8:30/9pm). Dinner will be a no-choice, seven-course tasting menu for $100 per person (not including tax and gratuity or alcohol because it’s still BYOB). And, of course, it’s still cash only.

Honestly. just writing all of that brings back memories of the super-strict piano teacher I had when I was little. I still can’t look at a Treble Clef without experiencing traumatic effects.

Still, we’re pretty sure you’ll be able to get past rules because there’s some good news, too. Chef-owner Pierre Calmels will be back in the kitchen when Bibou re-opens and, really, that’s enough to make all the rest of the complications completely worthwhile.

You can make your reservations here.
