Bourbon Bash At Bank & Bourbon

Bank & Bourbon celebrates their one year anniversary with what else? A whole lot of bourbon.

Bank & Bourbon, at 1200 Market Street in the Loews Hotel, is celebrating their one year anniversary by hosting a Bourbon Bash. And there are two very good reasons why you should check out the party.

The celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 28 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Chef Tom Harkins will be on hand, presenting the most popular dishes from Bank & Bourbon’s first year in business, including appetizers, entrees and desserts, while the restaurant’s own bourbon master (nice gig, right?), Brian Bevilacqua, will be serving up signature cocktails.

The first reason why you should consider showing up to this party? Among many of their featured dishes, you can catch their 28-day dry-aged cowboy steak. Sure, there’s also going to be crispy pork belly with citric fennel and serrano chile, or ahi tuna with spicy carrot and lime. But the 28-day dry-aged steak is what you want to focus on. Plus the fact that, at each dish station, bourbon pairings will be featured. Remember both of those things, ok?

Second reason: Tickets for the event are $49 per person and proceeds will benefit DonorsChoose.org–a charity through which  teachers request classroom materials and donors choose who to donate to. With the proceeds from the party, Bank & Bourbon will fund as many regional teachers as possible from public, private parochial and charter schools.

So yes, you’ll be helping out teachers, which is great. But, in the meantime, you’ll essentially be getting an all-you-can-eat steak-and-bourbon party for $49. Which is even greater. Or at least equally great, right? Helping teachers AND filling yourself full of whiskey and red meat?

Anyway, if you can’t make it to the actual event but still want to contribute to DonorsChoose.org by eating delicious food, Bank & Bourbon will feature a rotating list of three signature dishes throughout April. The proceeds from these will also be donated to the charity.
