Gyu-Kaku, a relatively new Japanese BBQ restaurant in Fairmount, is celebrating Sakura Fest by offering special deals on food and the chance for people to win prizes, gift cards and, maybe, a free trip to Japan.

Sakura (which originally horrified me because I confused it with Sepukku–look it up), is actually quite a lovely cherry blossom that blooms all over Japan to signify the start of Spring. And Gyu-Kaku is acknowledging the event by giving customers 20% off on menu items such as toro beef, fried shrimp dumplings, sukiyaki bibimbap, and french fries with cod caviar sauce. Because french fries with cod caviar sauce is totally a thing that people eat, I guess.

More excitingly, Gyu-Kaku is offering guests the chance to win a 4 night trip to Japan, including airfare, 2 nights in Tokyo and 2 nights in Kyoto. You can enter the sweepstakes here (or you can fill out an entry form in person at the restaurant while eating your french fries with cod caviar sauce like a completely normal person does) now through April 16.
