SPTR Is Hosting A Pop-Up Austrian Wine Tasting

Austrian winemaker Markus Huber will visit SPTR this Thursday.

On Thursday, February 26, South Philadelphia Tap Room is hosting a pop-up tasting menu with Austrian winemaker Markus Huber. Chef de cuisine Mark Regan is taking over the kitchen and will be creating a special menu to reflect the traditional flavors of an Austrian Heuriger (a wine bar, more or less).

For those of you totally into your Austrian wines, the bottles being uncorked are a Hugo Sparkling Rose, Huber Gelber Muskateller, Huber Gruner Veltliner Obere Steigen, Huber Riesling Engelberg and Hugo Red Blend. All of them will be available in tasting portions.

And just to stay topical, along with wine, the Taproom is adding German and Austrian hefeweizens and doppelbocks to the draught list.
