Three More Tasting Tours Are Now on Sale

Tuesday, our first two sets of Tasting Tours went on sale and the tickets went fast (as of now there is just a single ticket to the Center City tour left). Today, we’ve put our final three tours on sale.

The East Passyunk Tour is sure to sell out in a flash. The tour kicks off with a stop at the number one restaurant on Philadelphia magazine’s #1 restaurant for 2015, LaurelTop Chef winner Nick Elmi will demonstrate and serve his fresh gnocchi with wines to match. Then it is off to Brigantessa for pizzas, appetizers and matching beers. The final stop is at Townsend where the tricks of pairing food and wine will be spilled over organic chicken with leg galantine, speck, sultanas, walnuts, baby turnips and rosemary aigre-doux.

The Midtown Village Tour kicks off at Nomad Roman for pizza making, apps and drinks to match. Then it’s down 13th Street upstairs to the event space above Barbuzzo. There, Marcie Turney will preview the punch that will be served at her new Bud & Marilyn’s as well as gnocchi and her hand-dipped Marcie Blaine Chocolates. End the tour with an Indian feast at Indeblue. There you’ll enjoy naan, lamb and tikka makhani as you learn the secrets of Indian spices.

The Rittenhouse Square Tour kicks off at Mike Solomonov’s Abe Fisher. Enjoy a demo of the borscht tartar and a cocktail from Abe’s ambitious bar. Then it’s off to Il Pittore, where Chris Painter will offer pasta, braised meat and of course wine. Take a deep breath and then head to the recently opened Gran Caffe L’Aquila. There, World Cup Gelato chef Stefano Biasini will discuss the gelato making process as dessert wines and gelato are enjoyed.

No time to dally, tickets are on sale now.
