Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival Returns

Last year the inaugural Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival at the Hotel Monaco sold out in like 6 parsecs (yes, Star Wars nerds, I know a parsec is a unit of distance, but with the artwork and today’s Star Wars news, I’m going with it). This year the festival is back on Saturday, December 6th at the 23rd Street Armory. Tickets for the holy union of bacon and beer go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

The event will be three times as large this year but the $46.50 tickets are still likely to sell out before you can say “disturbance in the force.”

The Bacon and Beer Festival takes place from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th and the event is presented by Aaron Cohen (@eatboston) and Danya Heninger (local food and beer writer). The event benefits MANNA and offers unlimited samples of bacon dishes from 25 to 30 restaurants and beer from 15 to 20 breweries. Ari Miller’s 1732 Meats is the sponsor and provides most of the bacon used by the participating restaurants.
