One of Philadelphia’s most well-known kitchen-less chefs will have a home for the night when Jen Carroll steps behind the stoves to work as sous chef for Marcus Samuelsson, who is coming to town as part of the First Person Arts festival.
The dinner is set to happen at Le Meridien on Tuesday, November 4. Samuelsson (who was at First Person Arts last year as well) will be cooking recipes straight from his new cookbook, Marcus Off Duty–which means the kind of relaxed, international cuisine he serves at home to his friends and family.
Carroll will be there as his sous chef, lending a little extra celebrity to the event. There’s a VIP reception at 6pm. Dinner is at 7pm. A book signing will follow. And tickets are available now, running $180 for VIP and $150 for the dinner and signing.
