This Week: It’s a PHeaSt
There’s a PHeaSt happening at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on October 17th. It’s the usual thing: taste foods from local chefs and growers. It’s happening from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the 3rd annual garden-to-table celebration.
This one, though, is hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and PHeaSt will bring together some of the region’s most renowned chefs and urban growers for a unique party to benefit the PHS City Harvest program. During growing season, the Harvest program feeds more than 1,200 families in need each week.
So come on out, chat with the chefs, eat, drink, enjoy delicious samples, and this year the “Fruits of the Vine” wine pull will include more than 100 bottles of wine to be tasted.
Throughout the evening, guests can vote for their favorite culinary creation for “The Peoples Choice” award, as well as potentially win selected certificates to the winning restaurants.
