Do Something Different for the Eagles Game

Just about everyone seems to have their Sunday football traditions down pat but if you’re looking for something different, here are some change-up ideas for the Eagles game.

Bob & Barbara’s – You probably don’t think of Bob & Barb’s as a sports bar but the South Street dive does have two nice TVs and $2 beers all day. And what could be more Philadelphia than a special after every touchdown?

Doobies Bar – This Sunday will be the first Eagles game broadcast at Doobies in five years. The bar, a noted proponent of dogs, cats and the entire animal kingdom, boycotted the Birds while they employed Michael Vick.

Grubhouse – This breakfast/lunch spot on the other side of Passyunk Avenue is staying open late in order to offer a BYO choice for your Eagles watching. And after you start your day with a pork roll egg roll, order their Mean ‘n’ Green wings, coated in a house-made green sriracha sauce.
