Citron And Rose Is Headed For Center City

Big news today from 6 Points Restaurant Group, the gang now in control of the kosher mini-empire booming on the Main Line. It looks like Citron + Rose–the group’s flagship which was begun in collaboration with Michael Solomonov and his team, and is now being run by Six Points and chef Karen Nicolas sans Solo–is going to be expanding into Center City. Specifically, into Rittenhouse Square.

No, we don’t know where in Rittenhouse specifically. Six Points is still keeping that information very much under their hats. But we do know that they’re looking toward a fall opening (the same season they’ve now moved the opening of their Merion concept, The Dairy, to), and that the new Citron + Rose will offer a seasonal, kosher menu focusing on “more diverse contemporary American and Mediterranean European offerings with a focus on local ingredients and constantly changing selections.” There’ll also be a bar, a cocktail program, craft beers and a separate bar menu full of small plates and snacks.

Oh, but that’s not all. The original Merion location of Citron + Rose is, apparently, no longer called Citron + Rose. From this point forth, it will be C&R Kitchen, and come next week, the menu will be changing as well. The new board will be more casual and family-friendly, offering burgers, gourmet sandwiches, and an ever-changing menu of entrees like chicken and waffles, brisket pot pie and beef goulash.
