Pilsner Urquell Unfiltered Tasting at Silk City

IMG_7384

Put down the Natty Light because Silk City is bringing you a Pilsner Urquell Unfiltered Tasting with the help of Beer Master Robert Lobovsky. And the first 50 RSVPs to laurap@qcmercantile.com get in for free.

Not only will attendees have the chance to learn about three distinct Czech pours, they will also get to try them. Lobovsky will be pouring Na Dvakrát, Hladinka and Mlíko for guests to enjoy – an opportunity that doesn’t happen everyday seeing as the unpasteurized, barrel-fresh beer has only made it to US soil a few times in the last 170 years. So now’s your chance to get a taste of world class beer… and then sadly return to that 30-rack of yours.

The event will be held this Thursday, July 10th from 7 - 9:30 p.m.

Ella – You clearly do not know your audience. Most people who follow this website are foodies….I guarantee there are very few people on this website who stock their home fridge with Natty Lite

1.) “doesn’t happen everyday” – You can try the three pours every single day at another restaurant elsewhere in the city.

2.) “only made it to US soil a few times” – There has been a decent supply of unfiltered Urquell since about last fall. This is about the 5th or 6th event in the last 8 months with this beer in Philly. Add in the few events in Maryland and Chicago that have been listed and you have “a few times” in the last few months.
