Win Free Fried Chicken For Life At FedNuts (Also, Chicken Nuggets!)

Okay, so Federal Donuts is celebrating National Fried Chicken Day on Sunday, July 6 with a one-day-only offering of “FedNuggets”–FedNuts-style chicken nuggets, made from skin-on chicken thighs, cured and double-fried, served with Coffee BBQ, Honey Mustard and Pineapple Polynesian dipping sauces. They’ll come four nuggets to an order, for $6, and while that is all well and good (and more than a little bit awesome), July 6 is still a little ways off and we wouldn’t normally be warning you so far in advance to cancel all your plans for the day. But then there’s this, too.

Free fried chicken. For life.

At noon on National Fried Chicken Day, one lucky winner’s name will be drawn and that person will win free fried chicken for life from Federal Donuts. And the way you get your name into the hat? By donating $20 or more to the Kickstarter campaign for the FedNuts crew’s new project–Rooster Soup Co. If you haven’t heard about this yet, it’s a charitable project which will turn leftover FedNuts chicken backs into delicious chicken stock. Said stock will then be turned into delicious soups, which will be sold to you. And all the profits from the sale of the soup will go to the Broad Street Hospitality Collaborative, who provide meals and services to homeless Philadelphians.

So yeah, you do something good and you might just end up with free FedNuts chicken for life. Not a bad deal.
