Franklin Mortgage Is Celebrating 5 Years Of Pouring Hooch

So it’s been five years since the Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. first opened its subterranean doors and started slinging some of the strongest and most creatively-named drinks in the city. And this week, the people who have put their stamps on dozens of menus over a half-decade are coming back for special anniversary shifts behind the bar.

The festivities actually began on Sunday night, with Al Sotack and Colin Shearn coming back for one night only. But they’re continuing on Tuesday and Thursday night with more mix-and-match staffing and special menus. On Tuesday, it’ll be Nick “The Professor” Jarrett (who’s being flown in from New Orleans) and Katy Linck (who’s just coming from a few blocks away at Rouge). They were both on the opening staff at the Franklin and they’ll be working from a custom drink list called “Team Tuesday Forever” with every cocktail priced at $11.

Thursday, June 19 is the official 5-year anniversary and there’ll be another special menu offering 1 ingredient (shot), 2 ingredient (shot and beer), 3, 4, and 5 ingredient cocktails from 5pm ’til 2am. There’ll also be sparkling wine for everyone and plenty of Old Granddad bonded whiskey.
