New Chef and Menu for Jerry’s Bar

jerrys-bar-filetMichael Klein has reported that Marshall Green is out at Jerry’s Bar in Northern Liberties. The reason isn’t clear but replacement Matt Moon is already tweaking the menu. Moon, who was promoted from chef de cuisine was once the chef at Talula’s Table, before a very short stint at Talula’s Garden and was the opening chef at Saint James Place in Ardmore.

Pictured at left is Moon’s new filet. The six-ounce steak is served with roasted garlic, veal jus, asparagus and cheddar onion potatoes.

I would advise taking jersey striped bass off the menu

    • Greg

Why would you lie about that. Very strange.

      • greg

Unless they are buying from someone under the table and too stupid to realize they shouldn’t advertise that.

    • ThaJawn

You can’t buy New Jersey Striped Bass in New Jersey, you can buy Jersey Striped Bass in Pennsylvania…clown.

      • Papa Hemmingway

You can’t but New Jersey Striped Bass anywhere. The fish has to be caught in a state where
commercial harvest of bass is legal. In NJ it is not legal. If someone is trying to sell you “New Jersey Bass” then it has been illegal taken or is not really from Jersey.

      • Fishy

No, “clown,” you can’t. Commercial harvest and sale of striped bass is banned in NJ and has been for quite a while. Google is your friend. Consult it.

it’s probably farm raised hybrid striped bass, which is legal in NJ. and not as tasty as real striped bass.

  • RegalSegal

That filet is shamefully cooked. Yikes.

  • Willy Wonka

Where can you catch striped bass this time of year??

  • Q
