Vanilya Bakery Opens on East Passyunk

Townsend isn’t the only spot on East Passyunk throwing open its doors today. Vanilya Bakery is also welcoming customers for the first time on this fine Friday. The bakery is owned by pastry chef Bonnie Sarana Noll. She will be putting out an assortment of cookies, cheesecake, flourless cake, panna cotta, tiramisu and more. Vanilya, which is Turkish for vanilla and named for Noll’s favorite ingredient also offers wedding cakes.

The retail store is open Thursday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Appointments are also available.
