Bar Volver Opens This Evening

The first-come-first serve part of Jose Garces’s Volver opens to the public tonight. Bar Volver is a champagne and caviar lounge that will feature a selection of small bites including oysters, cheese, charcuterie and three varieties of caviar. Bar manager Gordana Kostovski has created a menu of cocktails designed to pair well with the food coming from Garces’s kitchen. Also available to the Bar Volver customer will be over 1,500 bottles of old and new world wines with a particular focus on sparkling wines.




Highlights include:

  • Oyster Tartare with razor clams, preserved meyer lemon, green apple, marcona almond, horseradish
  • Wagyu Brochettes with a Yakitori Glaze and Togarashi Mayo
  • Petit Fours options will include pomegranate and pistachio macarons; valrhona chocolate, salted caramel petits tartes and maple syrup candies

The bar at Volver will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The ticketed dining at Volver debuts next Wednesday, April 16th.

    Clicquot and Dom Perignon! I only looked at the sparkling section to know that this restaurant will be corny. Overblown most definitely bloated fare designed with nothing but a price tag in mind. I can’t wait to read all of the terrible reviews because I can’t afford it and I live to hate.

    LOL $10 for a Nora and a Southern Tier?! Talk about out of touch. Herb grilled focaccia on ALL THE THINGS. How long until this place closes and is replaced with a new concept like Chifa was? 1 year? Less?
