One Night Only: Aldine Pop-Up At Cheu Noodle Bar

George Sabatino has been a busy guy since leaving Stateside way back when. He did Morgan’s Pier. He did Winterfest. And all the while, he’s been working on opening up his own place–Aldine, which will be going into the second-floor space at 19th and Chestnut that was formerly home to Noche.

And things at Aldine must be coming along nicely because we just got word that Sabatino (and his wife and partner, Jen) are going to be doing a one-night-only menu test / pop-up dinner at Cheu Noodle Bar on Monday, March 24.

Why Cheu? Because Sabatino and Cheu chef Ben Puchowitz are buddies. And also because Cheu is both awesome and small–limiting the number of plates that’ll have to be put out to the ravening crowds. But to compensate for the limited number of seats, Sabatino is going to be doing four seatings at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. $55 will get you a seat, four courses and some extras. There’s a cash bar, so come thirsty. And this party is by reservation only, so call 267-639-4136 for further details and reservations.

Oh, and one last thing? We got a peek at the menu for the Aldine pop-up. Here’s what it looks like:
