Make That John’s Roast Beef

John’s Roast Pork is of course known for its roast pork. But the sandwich shack is also known for its cheesesteaks which consistently rank among Philadelphia’s finest. But now, thanks to a new oven, John Bucci’s sandwich haven might be known for his roast beef sandwiches. Yesterday, Craig LaBan tweeted  the above photo of his first taste of a roast beef sandwich from Bucci’s new oven.

And today, Michael Klein has some more details on the oven and the roast beef sandwiches that are coming out of it.


Also, Bucci is knocking a dollar off his new roast beef sandwiches now through Saturday, February 8th. In addition to that, he's donating proceeds to BeTheMatchFoundation, which connects potential bone-marrow donors with patients in need. Bucci is a leukemia survivor who has previously raised significant funds and awareness for the foundation.

Remember, John's Roast Pork's hours are a difficult for some, but always worth the effort.
