For those of you who missed out on all the Burns Night festivities focused around the Scottish poet’s birthday last week and are kicking yourselves for skipping your chance at celebrating poetry by drinking too much scotch, take heart. Milkboy has announced that they’re doing a fashionably late “After Burn” dinner and scotch tasting for you procrastinators.
They’ll be throwing their party on Wednesday, January 29th–offering four scotches, tasting instructions from Macallan rep Jason Long (uh…lift glass, open mouth, insert alcohol has always worked for me), and three courses of grub from exec chef Joel Mazigian, all for just $40.
Here's how the night will shake out...
Upon entering, guests will be treated to a welcome glass of Macallan Cutty Sark Prohibition--a 100 proof blended scotch--just to start things off right. And then:
Highland Park 12 paired with Duck Confit, roasted chestnuts, pear preserves
Highland Park 15 paired with Roasted Pork Loin, confit potato, mustard greens, smoked apple relish
Highland Park 18 paired with Warm Banana Bread, candied walnuts, malt chocolate ice cream, and fried bananas.
