New Year’s Eve for the Planning Averse

Congratulations, you made it all the way to New Year’s Eve without making solid plans. Let’s face it, New Year’s Eve is so overhyped, overpriced and overdone, that you refuse to make a big deal about the day. But you’re a social person and aren’t the type to skip a party. So here are some last moment suggestions for tonight.

Fergie’s – Brown Sugar, the world’s only all black Rolling Stone tribute band, are closing out 2013 upstairs. $10 cover includes a glass of Lagunitas Brown Shuga and a champagne toast at midnight.

Hop Sing Laundromat – Lê is promising a regular night at his Chinatown hotspot. No “lift your wallets extravaganza.” Just a regular night at the bar.

Royal Tavern – It’s become a tradition at the Royal. Choose your own open bar. You pick the two-hours and $25 gets you all-you-can-drink.

Tria Cafe – Each Tria location is doing “nothing really special.” But being that they’re Tria, there are still some special things happening. Look for Grower’s Champagne and Deus, the true Champagne of beers.
