Alma de Cuba Launches Saturday Brunch Dance Party

Can’t get enough dancing on Friday night? Then check out the new Saturday brunch party at Alma de Cuba. All three floors of Stephen Starr’s Cuban restaurant are transformed into a brunch-and-dance affair with progressive DJs, Latin brunch favorites and lots of mimosas.

Doors open at 11 a.m. with dishes ranging from French toast and mini banana pancakes with crispy Serrano ham and candied walnuts to a chorizo and Manchego breakfast quesadilla and Cuban sandwich. Get those plates polished off by 1 p.m. because that’s when the DJ begins spinning in earnest.

By 1:30 p.m. the lights will go down and the party gets cranked up. Champagne by the glass and bottle will be offered as well as “monster” cocktails and pitchers of Bloody Marys. Pineapple mango sangria and a signature rum punch will also lubricate the dance crowd.

Starr, a lifelong music fan who got his start in music and entertainment says “we continue to push the envelope with collaborations with all-star chefs, innovative new dining concepts, and enviable events and experiences. In a city that loves brunch, Philadelphians will now have a place to really celebrate the weekend by indulging in incredible food and creative cocktails, while enjoying a dance party play list curated by some of the best DJs in the region.”

This Saturday, December 7th will feature DJ Eddie Tully. Look for adult film star turned DJ, Jessie Andrews later this month.
