Collingswood restaurant stalwart, chef Mark Smith of the Tortilla Press and Tortilla Press Cantina (in Pennsauken), is renowned in South Jersey for his long-time commitment to local farmers. Tomorrow, he’s thanking his farmer-suppliers and saying goodbye to the year’s harvest with what he’s calling “WHAT JUST MIGHT BE YOUR BEST DINNER OF THE YEAR!” (caps his).
It’s a pretty bold claim. But I receive announcements about all of his many special events and I don’t remember him ever making such a statement. So, without any pre-judgment, I pass along the details of his $35 menu–which runs all night at the Cantina on Tuesday, November 19. Patrons are invited to thank the farmers, who’ll be in attendance themselves (drinks, tax and tip not included).
